Nutrition Pyramid Clarified



food pyramid, now called the USDA's my plate. This is a huge improvement over a confusing and difficult to understand the pyramid before.

my plate looks exactly as it sounds, as tanjur.Ploča is split in half down the middle. On the left is half veggies and fruits, and the right side of the pole beans and protein. There is a small cup of dairies in the upper right corner of the plate.

This is a simple upgrade to its predecessor, My Pyramid. And, it uses something that we use on a daily basis, the board, to show exactly how it should look like.

Advantages

is one big advantage of my plate is to clearly define how you choose your food groups. One half of the vegetables and voće.Druga half the grains and protein.

There are not any action should be taken, or should strive for all parts. You see the relationship of various food groups, and know what to put on your plate.

Also, it is easy to remember. With my pyramid, I could not remember how many servings of each food group to be included in my meal. It was simply too much information to remember.

Disadvantages

Image May be a little too simple. Let's say that I introduced with my plate visually.

Ok, I can see how my records should look like. But what kind of fruits and vegetables? By the fried pickles and caramel apples count? (Of course not.)

as white rice and fatty porterhouse steak? I can make my plate look like the picture, but with what kind of food?

When you go to the USDA Web site, they give more information about what foods to eat for each category, but this information not found in the picture. As with any guide food diet, it is very useful to use common sense.

foods that are fried or drenched in butter are not the healthiest for you, even if there is some glimmer of vegetables hidden behind the breading. Stick with foods that are dry, fresh, healthy, and are your best bets.

Another drawback I find with my plate visually that there is no account for the exercises and activities. Perhaps the USDA can add a stick figure walking after meals? Or, run by the board?

diet is 75% of the equation to lose weight, but exercise plays a role. When they exercise in their daily routine, you will find it easy to lose pregnancy weight and keep it off too.

All in all, my plate was a huge improvement over my piramide.Prehrana pyramid had too much information to process.

Use picture of my plate to build their own meals, and do not forget to stick with the basics of sound nutrition. Lean protein, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and nonfat dairy products are built to any meal.
