There are many myths and misconceptions floating around. Everyone and their mom can call themselves an expert and have a following these days. I am a big believer in skepticism. Research things for yourself and conclude on the basis of information and sources you trust. Many times false and misleading information to continue for one's self-serving interests.
Pharmaceutical companies sponsor research and find doctors who will spin the truth to their advantage. Some doctors rely on outdated information and refuse to learn new things. And some people have no idea what they're talking about, they are only heard through the grapevine or something a little bird told them. Even as a child I knew that sugar is not hype or not you can catch pneumonia be walking in the rain.
Here are some diet myths you may have heard of the
1) brown eggs are healthier than white eggs
The color of the egg has nothing to do with its nutritional quality. Some breeds of chickens lay white eggs, while others lay brown. Case closed.
2) Brown Sugar is healthier for you than white sugar
Brown sugar is usually white refined sugar with molasses added to it. Refined sugar, no matter what color skin is bad for you.
